  • What people think

    • For 3 years now these people have been feeding me my whitebait and bacon butties. Always look forward to great company and excellent food πŸ˜€

      Swapmeet customer
    • Had my first Hot Dog in more than over 20 years due to chronic gluten intolerance. Having discovered a full gluten free menu I ate a burger and treated myself to a crayfish sandwich, all gluten free over two days of rally car madeness. Well done Food Den

      Thrilled Gluten free fan
    • At the Christchurch A&P show I ate eight hotdogs during the half day I was there from The Food Den.
My goal was ten but alas I had to carry yummy chips for the kids and my hands were full!!
When food tastes that great, its easy to eat!

      The Fan
    • Great chips cooked fresh while you wait. None of this soggy nonsense. Always friendly and have good music playing and a great selection of burgers and drinks. The reason why I regularly visit 11/10

Last racing of the season...and it's the demolition derby! Early start time of 4pm with gates open at 2pm. The Food Den will have two units open with our awesome menu ready to roll. Full menu available gluten-free and dairy-free, as always. Our last meeting of the season and it's time to wreck stuff.....old cars. Plus we have a guest appearance by the TQ Midgets.
Plus it's our Ron Spriggs Memorial meeting.
Ron is the founder of Central Motor Speedway and it's because of his vision, tenacity and sheer bloody mindness that we get to enjoy the amazing facility we have at our doorstep.
Central Motor Speedway has become part of Cromwells D.N.A and has been an integral part of helping shape Cromwell into the thriving resort town it is today. The Ron Spriggs Memorial meeting is our way of saluting Ron and his family and those that helped " make it happen". We invite past and present competitors, fans and supporters to help us share and celebrate the memory of Ron Spriggs. Dream big ....dream small but never stop dreaming.
